Generally, an engine is an engine whether it's manual or auto (excluding the V6 in a VN Commondore).  The bell housings may vary between different models etc, but usually the engine is the same, bar a few settings such as idle rpm and timing.
The main change will be the extra pedal :)

I'm almost sure, in C3's anyway, that if originally you had an automatic there will be no mount for the clutch Z linkage on the frame/chassis and you will need to drill and tap the block for the pivot stud on the other end of the Z linkage.  Mind you, I think someone use to sell a bolt on adapter for blocks without the hole.

It's been such a long time since I've played with this stuff.  It's why I was curious as to what came in the kit.

Every one should note
That when you buy out of the US to make sure  to get the free trade paper work  sent with the items
 If manufactured in the US and then you will not pay Duty
Although I would not invite scrutiny  from the customs If costing is under  the threshold
Keep in mind thought  if you are a repeat buyer
 Customs keep a large data base of who is  buying  and from where those purchases come from
the government is out to screw every one
