I'm almost sure, in C3's anyway, that if originally you had an automatic there will be no mount for the clutch Z linkage on the frame/chassis and you will need to drill and tap the block for the pivot stud on the other end of the Z linkage. Mind you, I think someone use to sell a bolt on adapter for blocks without the hole.
It's been such a long time since I've played with this stuff. It's why I was curious as to what came in the kit.

The Z-bar bolts or is welded to the chassis, so I'm not 100% sure to what you are referring to. Either way, I opted for a hydraulic clutch set-up so I don't have to worry about it :D
Once I get everything I'll have to update my thread. (I should update this anyway) It's a pretty complete kit.

Well I am thinking about getting a cheapish serpentine kit as per below, what do you guys think ???
http://www.marchperf.com/
20450 costs $602.29, the P304 costs $178.00, and the P555 (100 amp chrome alternator) costs $160.00. Total would be $940.29 plus the shipping and handling. I can only estimate the shipping, I would figure around $40-50 dollars max on the shipping. Please give me a call if you would like to place the order.
Thank You,

I am using the March serpentine however got the one with the idler pulley between the alternator and power steering pump. I looked at the other one but felt there was not enough belt contact on the steering pump pulley.
I can dig up the part # if you want.

Hello Mick,
The part Number for the serpentine conversion kit I am using is 20451.
I purchased it from Summit (their part number is MCH-20451) a few years ago for $640 + shipping.
The belt size required is 1560mm/61.5".
I also went for the high flow ratio instead of the performance ratio as I think cooling is more important then the few extra horses gained by using the small bottom pulley and large water pump pulley.
