Hello All,

As the Gm Representative for the Club,

I have been talking with a member of the GTR XU-1 owners club in organising a possible run with them on either a saturday night or sunday day (as long as it doesnt clash with any of our organised runs) for October this year.

Would like to know whether anyone would be interested?

Can we get some feedback please.

Any run with any club is always a great idea.
I think maybe a Saturday night would be good for a starter. Mainly because Sundays are usually already booked for something;35

Hello All,

Okay. this is the story so far from my contact with a club member of the GTR XU-1 Club.

The date has been proposed for the 12 November 2006 from our Club House to Appin. I know (This is currently clashing with our club run to Terentinos Restaraunt) sorry- this was the date provided, however, for those who would want to do a run down south please read on.

This is not definate.. so just read on... still need numbers and confirmation.

The proposal is to meet at the Club House at Greenacre, at ( ie: the Grey Hound Club) at 8.00am with a 8.30am departure. Both Clubs to meet at same place.

Then those who have gatherd would then head off to Heathcote ( via alfreds point road -through menai )where we will all meet at the Caltex servo for top up.

Then we head off through to helingsburg and then stanwell park and meet up at Scarborough (a sealed parking area) for pics with the other club. Then head off through Bulli and Bulli pass to Appin ( Appin Hotel - plenty of parking and good visibility of cars) for Lunch and drinks and a great atmsophere.

Weather Pending only... if the weather isnt kind to us, the run will be off, however as we need to confirm and the XU-1 Club will book the Appin hotel, we just meet there for lunch.

OKAY OKAY.... don't shoot the messenger, and please, all members and committee don't take this as im in anyway running for the events co-ordinator. They are doing a terrific job without me!

Im only putting this proposal up as i have had members of other car clubs ask me if we could do a run together.

Can we now get some numbers and takers respond.. as im trying to get at least 6 cars to come along, however the more the merrier, and i need to confirm back with the GTR XU-1 Club.

I have confirmed with the GTR XU1- club that our joint run is on people.

Now all we need is a great turnout and a confirmation of exact numbers (people) by the end of the month so we can book places at the Appin Hotel.

The times are as follows;

Oh.. if its raining, its still on, we all meet at Appin Hotel but just bring the shopping trolley.

The purpose of this event is to meet up with the guys from the XU1 club, exchange storys and enjoy the day.
