What Jorge did not say was - at meetings he gets tied up doing club rego's and basically misses most of the meeting.
Compounded by members not bringing correct paper work - esp a copy of pink slip to go in club file.
Jorge is out and about Sydney metro everyday and is prepared to visit YOU, even by arrangment on weekends.
The Sec is preparing a permanent section for the mag indicating requirements for HR.
The Committee is still debating changes, amendments & refinements to club HR.
At the end of the day this is basically a social club for like minded individuals with cars as the central theme.
I even heard a VERY ....? I was going to say "silly" but it was more likely missinformed or a missled statement that only Corvettes could get HR.
The club is -"NSW Corvettes UNLIMITED" that word unlimited means exactly that, I originaly had no corvette, some have many, some have other cars as well.
At the moment I believe there is no restriction on the number of plates we can issue overall or to individual members.
But - there's always a but. This is a social club, promoting primarily Corvettes, to that end, we dont want to see the club being used by individuals as a convienient place to get cheap rego, without at least a little payback to the club, by simply attending a meeting or a run or two. The expierences of members being passed onto others in the club, is after all, what the club is about, comraderie, help, call it what you will.
I know some of you will hate me for saying this, but a club is like a union, its democratic, of the members, by the members, FOR the members.
This "FORUM" is one of our greatest assetts, it allows questions, info, tech data and even my bullsh#t to be disseminated far and wide, since our members live far and wide, length and breadth of NSW - this fact compounds HR issues, but I'm sure it may be resolved soon.
Regards.
