Every car in the 2011 Motor Trend Best Drivers Car competition was lapped around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca by hot shoe Randy Pobst. Their next competitor, the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition.

I had a look at a few of the other contenders for Motortrend's Best Driver's Car 2011 on You Tube.
There's apparently a launch on Sept 12th.
The closest car to the Corvette was the Lexus LFA with a time of 1.36.39 compared to the ZO6's 1.34.43.
Other pretenders were the Porsche 911GT3RS at 1.36.77, the Merc SLS AMG C63 at 1.38.82, Porsche Cayman R at 1.41.64, and Lotus Evora S at 1.42.49.
Especially with the new Michelins, the new ZO6 is one quick car.
Oh by the way, the Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca did a 1.41.06 if there are any F--d fans out there!
