I'm insured with shannons also - with all my cars.

If you tell them very low milage, they'll sort you out a policy to suit.

Interesting post.

I was quoted approx $600 by Shannons with a $300 excess on a $30000 agreed value for my 72. Garaged at an apartment on Northern Beaches, 1 day per week usage, no modifications. 29 year old driver. They quoted around $1200 also for my daily driver; an 02 Mazda Astina SP20. Pricey. That was with no crash history and one low range speeding ticket 4 years ago. Full rego.

Budget-direct game me $480 for the Mazda. Bing.

I've emailed Lumleys for a quote on the Orange Lady (vette).

For the benefit of all, would others be willing to share insurer, cost, and conditions? The $250 quote would be mighty attractive!!

As i said I'm using Shannon's 65k with 300 excess listed as a frequent user.... that means I can drive when ever I want to as far as I want to wherever it's not my main mode of transport. i.e. it's not my daily drive. I could have gotten the rate cheaper if I listed the Vette  as a infrequent use vehicle i.e. couple of times a month. I aslo get on free windscreen  a year, :bannana::bannana::bannana: trust me it's FREE as I've recently taken them up on it:ado:

Lumleys came back at $270 for occasional usage. Sold! Ditto on the windscreen replacement.

I now have the Vette and the Mazda insured for literally half of what NRMA quoted on just the mazda. :pepper:

250 is great deal but club rego is why its so cheap, happy to email you a copy of my details I have a 72 as well. I was paying around 590 before that for full rego.

50 bucks for rego is the real good part!!!!

I have my 85, BA ute and now my 71 insured for about $650-700.  I am on what they call a Stable 2 policy which means I can have any 2 cars on the road at the same time.  Good for when I want to take the vettes for a run with friends.

The BA and 85 cost $505 and was a Stable 1 - only 1 car on the road at one time.

Lumleys rock!!
