I would like to tak this opportunity to thank the President, and the Vice President and all the committee and those especialy involved on the day, who went out of their way to make this a very special and memorable day.

It was my first experience at Bella Vista and i would have to admit it was a terrific day to catchup with all and talk about corvettes. It definately won't be my last.

What else can i say, the weather was perfect (even though we got a little sunburnt) ... it just shone all day long, the people who attended were very nice and curtious and there was electricity in the air .

Oh... and a thank you goes to the man upstais as well.

M;36

Oh... People dont forget that you are all envited to next sundays run with the Xu1 Club.

Many thanks Michael.  Days like this one make all the effort the team puts into an event really worth while.  I can not thank everyone enough for the great turn out.

Management of Bella Vista came up to me just before the end of the day and said it's been the best show they have ever had and were very thankful for the great effort you all put in.

You, the club members, give yourselves a big clap.  Great day gang.

For those that could not make it:-

The morning set the mood for the day.  Great weather and an empty car park just waiting to be filled with Corvettes.

The team was there bright and early with a quick coffee top up and ready to go.

It wasn't long before the machines started to roll in.......

And the parking bays started to fill.

Come mid morning the place was full and the crowds were rolling in

The beasts were all polished with their hoods up and ready to be judged. (following pics by Peter K.  Thanks buddy)

There was even a nice rod that popped in to have a look around.  Nice machine

There was a main attraction that we had organised.  An 8 second 1/4 mile Corvette drag car.  Many thanks to Morris from Sammut motor sports for bringing his beast out.  He was that impressed with us all he  joined our club on the day.  I think he would now be the fastest in our club.  ;39

We were also lucky enough to have the beast fired up so all could get a feel of what so much horse power sounds like.  I noticed a couple of videos running, so if you can get them posted here on the forum gang, that would be great.

Well the day moved along with lots of other activities provided by Totally Home Bella Vista including a free BBQ and Mix 106.5FM radio commentary who roped in, with the help of Tracy ;48 ;39,  Andy and myself for a quick chat.

Well with the day coming to an end it was time for the business end with the presentation of the Trophies.

First cab off the rank was the presentation of a plaque to Joe to show the clubs appreciation.  Joe sponsored out last event at Darling harbour and our paths had not crossed since that day.  Many thanks again Joe for stepping up to the plate. ;42

Next there was a thank you to Morris for bringing his drag car out

Then we had a presentation of a Trophy sponsored by Pizzas with Muscle at Kurnell.  The story behind this is that Bill, Smokem and a few of the boys went there for lunch one day.  The owner was so impressed with the lads that he offered to supply a special trophy and dinner for two at his establishment.  Many thanks Smokem for putting this one together.  I'm looking forward to doing a run there when I get back. Put one together lads.

Bill made the presentation with a little help from yours truly.

Congratulations to all those that won.  Here is a small random collection of the presentations.  All of the pictures have been sent to Peter P for uploading to the website.  Once they are up we will let you all know.

Hope you all had a great day.  And again……. many, many thanks to all for all of your participation

Cam

Thanks Cam and it is always pleasure to Sponsor professional people (VO, Cam and all the commitee)) who know what they're doing & their effort is focused on our club rather than looking at other clubs what they are doing.

Good Show and thanks a lot

Will you ba able to put a CD together for us 69DR of what you filmed on the day please?

Damm shame ya had to go early.  Since you and Sammut Motor Sports have the biggest engines, we will have to organise a drag run.

What do ya reckon, give Morris a head start ;53

Another contender for the rat pack.

Oh thank you Cam for giving 69DR that idea... ;48

69DR, next time we cross paths I'll have to lend you some tapes...

Oh, and if Sammut Motorsports needs some weight added for the drag run I hereby volunteer to be a passenger during the run. ;46
