Bella Vista 2007
« on: January 15, 2007, 05:25:42 PM »
This event is on and coming up soon.  I spoke to Bella Vista today and Andrew and I will shortly be having a meeting with them to put everything into place.

We will be contacting all club members by mail so that all members are aware of what is happening before the next club meeting.

In the interim for those in the club that read this forum please contact Jenny as soon as possible on 0425 310 178 to let her know that you are going.  Or if you wish you can e-mail me here or Andrew here and we will pass it on to her.

Lets put on a great show for the crowd. The more the merrier.

In case there is any confusion, Cam picked up a typo this morning on the form. ;42  This has been rectified and will be reflected in the forms that are mailed out. ;42

G'day gang.

Following on from our club meeting I re-visited the parking arrangements.  We spoke to Totally Home Bella Vista and I am pleased to report that we acquired the extra parking space.  You all will now have 1.5 parking spots per vehicle with the ENTIRE area blocked off from passing traffic.  (See pics below.)

The night before the event we will be going down to mark where each vehicle is to be parked, for the progressive year by year display, to ensure quick an easy parking on the day of the show.  So all is in hand at our end.

See below at the end of this post, listed what you can do to help us.

The green crossed hatched area is where we will be parked.

The grass area is where our marquee, Radio DJ and BBQ supplied by Totally Home Bella Vista, will be set up.

One of the parking bays.  You can se Andy pointing in the direction.

View from the opposite end.

What you can do to help us:-

All that is required now is for the folks that have not done so to get your entry forms off to us as soon as possible.  We need to order the shirts and we have to mark up which Vette parks where on the drawings.  We can not do that until all the entry forms are in.

We need people to help out with marshalling during the parking process.  This will only be a short period of time out of your day.  We also need more people to do the judging.  So have a think about it and let us know at our next club meet or contact either Andrew 0409 043 473, Tracy 0414 440 814 or myself 0418 674 441.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me either here on the forum or by phone.

Thanks

If you enter on the day I can not plot where you are going to park.  The Vettes are going to be parked in order by year of manufacture.  So there is a bit of ground work that has to be done before hand.  I would prefer that you send off your form now so I can allocate your space number.  We do have a SMALL area set aside for overflow/late commers but we would like to avoid this if we can.  Having said that, if circumstances prevent you from registering now we can fit you in.

It's not 1.5m, it's 1.5 standard parking bays. In an area that would normally hold 10 cars we will only have 6.  That should give each Vette about a 2.8m wide bay, which I might add we will be confirming after going out there, Thursday 15th Feb, to measure.  So I can't see why you would not have enough room but you will have to discuss it on the day with the person/s parked next to you.

High Gang

Bill, Steve, and myself went to Bella Vista and measured the width of the new parking spaces as well as discussed the layouts.  You will all have a 3.75m width for you Vettes.

Don't forget that if you have not sent your forms in to do so as soon as possible so we can map out where each Vette is going to be parked in the year of manufacture display.

If for some reason you did not get a form and your coming, please ring through you Vettes year and if you want a T shirt, your size.

We are still interested in anybody who like to help out with the judgeing and Marshalls to assist in the parking of the Vettes in their allocated spaces.

I'm away until the 26th Feb so you can ring either  Tracy on 0414 440 814 or Andrew on 0409 043 473

Many Thanks
