Pyrmont Bridge Darling Harbour Show
5th Nov
Don't Miss It

You will be on the largest heritage-listed swing-span bridge in the world.

In keeping with our clubs recent tradition of hosting car shows our club will be holding it's next show'n'shine day on Pyrmont Bridge in Darling Harbour on Sunday 5th November 2006.

This day will be a trophy day where those who choose to do so may enter their car for judging.  Judging will be as per the system used for previous NSW Corvettes Unlimited Shows.  Scores will be published in the club newsletter following the show so that individuals may be able to assess where they can improve their scoring.  All Judges decisions on the day will be final.

Entry times will be between 7.30am and 9.00am.  Exit time will be approximately 2.30-3.00pm.  PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE LOGISTICS OF THE LOCATION OF THIS SHOW AND RISK MANAGEMENT ISSUES LATE ARRIVALS AND EARLY DEPARTURES CANNOT BE CATERED FOR.

Sunday 5th November is also the final day for the Sydney Motor Show so entrants can take advantage of the shows location and check out two car shows in one day if they choose.  Being in central Sydney, entrants and their friends and family will have no shortage of things to do during the day being in the heart of Sydney and near plentiful public transport.

As the committee is finalising details of the costing of the show, entry forms will be made available next week as well as cost of entry - which will be no higher than previous shows run by NSW Corvettes Unlimited Car Club Inc.  Every effort is being made to keep costs to our members as low as possible.

Watch this space for further details.  As the committee is still hard at work finalising things it would be appreciated if detailed questions be held over until after the weekend when final details will be available.

The entry form is now available if you would like to down load it and print it out.  I believe a copy will be in the next club magazine.

Just a note to keep you all the loop.

A few of us on the committe and a club member went into Darling harbour last night, 7/10/06, to tidy up some loose ends.

We will be reporting to you all shortly both here on the forum and by mail.

Just a reminder gang, don't forget you will need drip trays for under you cars.

Many thanks guys for helping out and giving your input last night.  It's much appreciated.;42

VO, I'll call ya tonight with the updates of last night.

All looking good.

hey cam
I know I am going to regret this question;mmm
BUT;50
How does one fit a drip tray into one's Corvette and if their vehicle does not leak oil do we still need one and finally if one has a drip tray and it gets soiled what does one do with it afterwards;30
Would it be possible for us to purchase one there and then toss into an arranged bin there.;35;42

Darling Harbour requires one irrespective of whether your car leaks or not.  Reason being they require it and we will get charged for cleanup if any cars do drop oil.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a tray as such but needs to be something that will prevent the pavement getting soiled if a car does leak.

I'll make another inquiry that may help in this regard and will advise my progress.

sounds good vette obsessed
Just wondering about wind and whether or not it will blow some tray away.
Maybe plastic sheeting and lead guttering material:24

Speaking for myself... I'll be lucky if I can get a tray under my car. :an

We'll do what we can but logistically we have alot to do insofar as runing the day itself.  Will keep everyone posted. ;42
