Is there a way of finding RPO's from your VIN?
« on: August 24, 2017, 10:06:58 PM »
Hi,
    Can you provide your VIN to someone in the industry or online to get a list of RPO's your car came with. Tank sticker has long gone.  VIN number 1Z37J5S428308, 1975 Coupe.

Thanks, Jim

Tank sticker is the only reliable record of RPOs as delivered. Unfortunately, GM dumped/lost all of its own copies of original build orders from back when.

The NCRS can supply (to members) some limited information:

Quote
National Corvette Restorers Society is pleased to announce that it can now offer solely to its members, certain information contained in 1962 after number 6000 and through 1975 (with some limited data) Corvette Month Car Shipped Reports.

* Shipping Data Report Service (US$40)
* Document Validation Service (US$100)

However: "Unfortunately, the shipping report does not contain the vehicle options"

I do have a bit of the tank sticker from my 1970, but it looks like a charred relic from a fire. Would give forensics a challenge to decipher.
It's C3 chromie for me, see? Si!
