« on: June 23, 2015, 06:00:21 PM »
I just received mail from  a relative showing
the new C8 in the latest CAR and DRIVER with photo
It is named Zora zr1 finally a rear engined
small block dual clutch  so says the article
unfortunately and sad for the future of corvette
it is mentioned a price tag of $150000.
We have been hearing about mid engine since the C4
and I am still thinking just more of the same :nag:

Yep, like the mythical RHD Vette.

However, I reckon that if GM doesn't have a fundamentally new design for the 'C8', such as rear/mid OHC engine, it will be seen as a dinosaur.  Young designers don't want to work on ideas and designs from their father's generation.

IMO GM really needs to come up with a modern design that's highly competitive on the track if they want to excite a new generation of Vette buyers. Price will be an issue, but relevancy is too.

Zora ZR1 is a great name for it.
It's C3 chromie for me, see? Si!
