Windscreen Replacement (72)

Hi Guys,

Doing a changeover due to some deep scratches and wear/tear
Any recommendations apart from the obvious big brand guys ?

Already have a new screen ready to go ....

I use this guy Alan 0409643087 does a great job and looks after your car while doing it !!!

if your insured with Shannon's they will replace that cracked

Hey Jethro no not cracked just deep scratches. Picked up a new one from Vette Connection in Victoria.
He shipped it up in a nice sturdy cradle for me.

Alan fitted it yesterday and was a true gentleman and looked after the Car in a tricky job ( it had never been out in 43 years )
Highly recommended.

How was the new glass in respect of fit mainly with the stainless covers as this has been a problem in the past with newer screens being thinner and the stainless surrounds having a bit of air between them.
If it's a good one the company that supplied it may get a few orders.

Hi Ross,

Yes slight thickness and radius on the New Screens as you know - But fits a treat.
With the original cord still in the frame and in good condition we were able to have a snug fit with limited gap.
Unless you go full original which i was quoted here in Sydney up to $1800 .... then happy with the minor gaps.
