The date has now been moved forward one week to the 4th August to avoid a clash with the re-scheduled Rattle and Hum at Castle Hill RSL

Ken, we're meeting on the M4 Eastern Creek West bound for a 8:30 departure. After Breaky I believe Garry is intending to take us past the lakes scheme to Yarramundi for a hill climb up Springwood road then to lunch.

For the ones that may go directly to the Lakes.

Hi all,
Thanks for answering Ken Nick. I've been away without net access.

For those choosing to go direct, entry is via gate A which is the last (fourth) on the right past the round-about. It's well marked.

The move of date due to the conflict with Rattle and Hum's alternate day, has caused some conflict at the venue. We will be attending with the tail end of a cycle road race and a large proportion of the car park has been allocated to skid pan training for learners. Consequently Jakki and I have visited the event organisers and we've arranged special provisions for access and parking. We'll be getting there early to make sure all is in order and Nick will be leading the convoy from the M4. Thanks Nick!

Nick was correct with the details of the optional post breakfast run. We'll do a lap up Springwood Road with a stop at Hawkesbury lookout. Then down the highway to Blaxland where we'll detour to Old Bathurst Road for a direct line to the Nepean Rowers Club for lunch or a drink overlooking the river. No need to commit now to the optional run as the booking is flexible. We'll have lunch menus at breakfast for those interested in joining us.

Numbers already indicate more than 40 attending and the weather forecast looks good.

See you Sunday.
Garry

Another great Club run!

57 of us turned up for brekky, and many of us went for the drive and continued on to lunch.

Must be a Club record.

Well done Garry and Jakki. Great organisation, great venues, and great company.

Jakki & Gaz, congrats  :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:

Great day had by all. I think we'll be heading back to the Regatta Centre for breakfast again. The food, company and most importantly the Parking was great!

What a great gesture from the restaurant to provide a gift voucher to the car they voted to be the one they would steal to take home. Sharon and I will enjoy the free meal.

I bet Gary & Vicki enjoy that bottle of wine they scored as well.  :drunk: Thanks for that nice gesture.
Something's going well in the club to have that amount of people turn up from the Central coast and Wollongong, not only for this run but to all the runs of late.

Pictures of the day hopefully will be posted later tonight folks.

As soon as the boys finish sorting the pics we'll get them up.  From what I've seen of what has come in so far, looks like a dam fun day, and what a turn out. :thumb:

That photo will definitely get into the next 'Western Report'....... It was a re-enactment of Gary's proposal to Debbie..... it was very touching.
