A daytrip up to the Hunter, the club has been invited by the PokolbinEstate Winery to come up and spend the afternoon at the estate.
Bring your picnic bag and the winery provides a BBQ. We'll meet at Thornleigh Maccas for a 10:00 am departure. The drive will be F3 to the Galga exit,
Central Mangrove, Wollombi, Bellbird and into the winery area.

News from the winery, they are looking forward to have us there and as word has spread around there will also be a few other muscle cars coming. The winery has also promised a full wine tasting session for the non-drivers and to top up the afternoon they also bought a brand new BBQ. See you there.

I'm guessing that they're not supplying anything to put onto the bbq

Hi All, Col Clarke has organised  a run north for Sunday April 21st to Pokolbin Estate Winery for a picnic lunch

Cortvettes from Sydney are meeting at Maccas Thornleigh for a 10-00am start and plan to cruise via Central Mangrove and Woolombi and on to the winery for lunch

Vettes from the Central Coast could cruise up to join in at Central Mangrove at about 10-30am ( my guess) or could run the F3 to the Cessnock turn and cruise directly to the winery.

Vettes from Newcastle and beyond could meet at the end of the F3 at Hungry Jacks at 10-30 am for an 11-00am start for the run to the winery

The Winery is Pokolbin Estate Winery in MacDonald's Road Pokolbin  Most of you will remember we last met there on that very HOT day The weather should be much kinder at this time of the year There is a BBQ available should you wish to cook something for lunch or of course you can bring your own picnic.

I haven't consulted Jean yet about our options for getting there so am not sure which way we will go . If you need to know give us a call towards the end of next week.

Weather is going to be OK, no rain. the southerly will die by tomorrow evening (Saturday). I met with Richard (the estate owner) earlier tonight and he is wrapped that we are coming so he will bring his Ferrari over on Sunday.

See you o Sunday

The weather gods are iffy but it is looking better. The southerly will be gone by midnight and it will be a great day tomorrow. Unless there is a massive change in the weather systems ( meteor impact) the run is on!

Regards

Bo
