Newbie here.  Steve at SR has just helped me get my '78 on the road after 4 years in storage. I'm planning on coming along on Sunday morning and look forward to meeting you all!

I guess you've been waiting for the 30 years to clock over.

Tell us a bit more about the car.

well .... since you asked ....
Yes, I bought the car in 2001 from its original owner when I was living in California. I drove it pretty much every day till I returned to Oz in 2004.  since then, its been in storage in the "shed".
In march I took it over to SR and got it back last week, having paid for Steve's kids' education during the few months it was there. Seriously, I was very happy to leave it to Steve and Pete to sort out. We ended up putting a new crate zz383 425hp 450 ftlb engine in her and I've kept the original engine for a later rebuild. Steve also went through the brakes, cleaned up some of the electricals, etc. I've been taking it to and from work this week (fuel consumption is crap!!) but sunday will be its first time out on the open road so I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks for the pics. Great turnout! Sorry I missed that run but I have to get rid of this bloody cold, or whatever it is, once and for all. I hope to be on next Sunday's Northern run.
