Hey guys,

just wondering whether anyone knows of any corvettes diecast wholesalers...I intend to buy evry year's model.

I know that there are few on ebays but postage is a big issue and it cost a lot.

So if you recommend anyone in Sydney or other states please do not hesitate to contact me or for those who wish to sell their collection please let me know

I am after either 1: 24   scale and/or  1:18

Have you tried Jim Gramms at Corvette models? http://corvettemodels.com.au/
Based in Melbourne and a "full on" Corvette nut.

Nice find.

Nobody makes a 77.  Damm it.  I thought they would with 77 being the last of the vertical back window and the year they stopped using the Stingray emblem.

There was a guy who had every corvette jim beam decanter made on ebay a few weeks ago. He wanted $1800 aus for the lot. They were located here in Sydney. Nobody bidded on them. Just look on completed items in the auto models section.I also have a tinplate 68 coupe race car toy called red cyclone. Its about 14 inches long and battery powered. Its pretty detailed for a late 60's toy. I have never seen another one $250 if you are interested. Dave

Hello Jolinari,

There is this guy in the states who i usually purchase my models from.

If you are going to buy models, i recomend that you look at the Danbury Mint models. They are by far superior quality than the others.

Though, i dont believe they make all the models.

I currently have around 30 models , the majority being of the 69 corvette at present, and reckon the danbury mint ones are the best by far.

I bought mine from the states, as alot of them are collectables and only found on the webb.

Goodluck, and if you want the guys email, U2 me.

Thanks for the info 69vette...I am not really fussed about the quality or the brand, i just want them to be on the wall in my garage so i guess the price would be an issue...

I will shop around, so far found few under $30.00 from Hobbyco but as mentioned by TPI-383, and surprisnigly K-mart and toy r us....

I will try hobbies r us in wetherhill

Thanks for the feedback

Hey Jo there is a guy in Sutherland called "Shire Models" I don't have his number but he will be able to get you what ever you want. He is located on the Od Princes Highway in Sutherland. Lokk his number p in directories it will be well worth it, he is reasonably priced and from where I have bought most of mine. THere is also the tobacconist in Kiama ocated in the main street, I think he is called "Smokin" he too has a great selection. I know the items that bootlegger is talking about hat were on ebay, but I am not sure if they are what you are after. They were Jim Beam decanters made from china still full of alcohol, they look great and are larger than the size you are looking for, and not only that the range/models that they come in are limited.
Cheers
