BATHURST 1000 PARADE LAPS - #CE057 Now with pics

We have been invited by V8Supercars to provide some convertibles and removable top Corvettes for parade laps of Bathurst during October's Supercheap Autos great race weekend.
Cars will carry former Bathurst winners on a parade lap on Saturday 6th at 1.00pm, and on Sunday 7th at 09.30am.
you will be required to assemble at a staging area 30 minutes prior to these times.
We need at least 20 cars for both days, and 2 general admission tickets will be provided for each car.
Reserved camp sites are available at a reduced cost of $189.

If you are interested in attending one or both days and participating in this unique opportunity, please contact 72Vet ( Nick ) as soon as possible to register your interest.

We have 13 cars of which 9 are camping overnight thus far.

How do you fit camping gear into a vette for 2 adults? Pictures of this weekend will be  very interesting.

Just in from V8 Supercars. All 20 spots  for the Saturday & Sunday Legends Parade  have been taken, but if there are any cancellations I'll let you know.

The 56m wide x 12 meters deep camp site should be enough room to fit 15 Vettes over night. There will be no charge  to us for the camping area :pink:

Sorry for the lateness of my reply, I am happy to have the NSW Corvette club on board to operate as ride vehicles for the 2012 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 Legends Parade in the celebration of 50 years of endurance racing on the mountain.

As mentioned on the phone we will need to the 20 cars at 1:30pm on Saturday and 9:30am Sunday for the legends parade. We will need to meet at least in a predetermined locations at least an hour before in order to put drivers names stickers on the windscreens of the cars and move the cars into position to get the drivers into the cars.

As mentioned on the phone the each car will receive 2 tickets per car, and there are 13 campsites with a rough grounds space of approximately 56m wide x 12 meters deep, this should be sufficient to accommodate all of the members who wish to camp. The camping tickets are attached and the members will need to bring a copy to the gate for security verifications.

Can you please send the final numbers or tickets and car passes required so I can forward these on to our ticketing department and get the tickets sent out to you as soon as possible.

Team Bray Racing is once again returning to Bathurst this weekend as part of the on track entertainment at Australia's most well known motorsport event and are keen to put on a show with both of their burnout cars while promoting drag racing.

At the Team Bray compound (Harris Park Merchandise Area) fans will be able to get up close with Victor and Ben’s race cars and the men themselves.

The team said they are thrilled to be back at Bathurst and to be included in the 50th anniversary celebrations.

“We have been part of the Bathurst on track entertainment for a long time now and enjoy coming here every year but to be included in the 50th anniversary line up is special, so trust me I am going to put on a 50th anniversary show," Ben said.

To keep with what’s happening, fans can look at the live pit cam on teambrayracing.com and there will be updates to Facebook throughout the weekend.

"Saturday morning, as planned with the two groups meeting at Lithgow for Breaky - Yehaa all is going well.

Onto Bathurst, again no complications, all is fine with everyone arranging themselves in order for the parade lap at 1:00pm - until we approached the traffic controllers at Mt Unorganized, they had no idea to where we could find our camp site, The map that they supplied was useless - 20 + corvettes, along with the public all pointing at one roundabout from all directions, not a great look. Traffic jam plus!

Finally with a few choice words on the Mobile, an official from V8 Supercars arrived and escorted us to our camp. The rest of the weekend is a bit like what happens on the Mountain stays on the mountain, Enjoy the Pic’s 
 
Col Clarke & Joe, Cheers and a huge thank you for supplying the Tents, BBQ equipment and cooking for us  all on the weekend.
