My Corvette is finally here
« on: September 13, 2012, 02:58:58 PM »
Hi All,

I Finally get my 1969 tri power convertable next week!
I just need a little heads up on what i will have to do to get it registered here in NSW. Is there much to do? As far as i know, I have to change the headlights over to Austalian spec.
That car is standard and origonal just like it left the factory.
any suggestions that i would have to do?

Thanks
Dan

Here's the RTA checklist.

http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/getnewrego/importedvehicles.html

Being prior to Aug 1972 you will not need that certificate they're on about (VSCCS).

You should be able to get away with lap belts as your car is pre Aug 1972 ADR.

Keep your US no. plates if you have them, they make good souvenirs, they won't ask for them but you can say it was shipped without them.

Basically, you'll need import approval, bill of sale, blue slip, CTP greenslip and weighbridge ticket.

Where are you located? Which port are you getting it in through?

There's a few others you may also want to try, Ryno gave me the best deal on one car and LSV were best on another. Some are getting their best quotes from Shannon's too, it seems to vary with location, the type of car, etc.

I agree Cam
professor Sumner miller  would say
 Why is it so .

Is it possible the New Red
Is the  effects of global warming, giving give rise to distortions in the wave length / frequency  of  the colours of the visual light spectrum as perceived by the  human eye.
in the visual range   400 - 700 nanometers.

Reds is in the order of 650 nanometers
Yellows in the order of 570 nanometers
The aesthetic chance in perceived colour due to this phenomena
May account for  the personal appeal that is being exhibited by  the number of  vehicle  arriving down under in Daytona Yellow

Just one idea :zip::zip:
