I  want a set of trailing arms to  measure  does any one has a set  removed form  the car
or a set they want to sell
thinking about this does any one have a drawing.

I've got a pair.  One is straight, but the other has has the spring bolt pulled through and still has the rusty bolt firmly in place, not wanting to budge.  I'm probably too far away to be much use though.

I am talking to Vansteel in the US
IT may  be easier to buy a set of their double offset arms
which move the  spring  mounting point inboard and inch each side
and does away with the problem of the Tyre  to spring clearance issue
although it requires a modified  spring.

Has  anyone tried this conversion

What size rim and tyre you plan on using?

I am using a 1/2" shorter per side spring with standard trailing arms. The rims are 18 x 9.5 with a 5.25" backspace. The picture shows about 3/8" clearence between the spring and rim.
If I used a 5.5" backspaced rim then I would have gone for the double offsets.
Another problem you may have with 5.5" backspacing is the tyre rubbing on the front of the frame kickup area. The frame is wider here then at the top of the tyre.

I was looking at using 10" x 16 rims or 11" x 16
I have 9"  rims now with 275 lyres and the clearance is minimal  with the car stationary.
the park cable mount has been removed and there is reasonable clearance on the front of the trailing arm

I think if your using standard diameter rims (15-16") then you will need the offset trailing arms and if you go for a deep backspace then the double offset with a shortened spring.
With 16" rims I think it would put the end of the spring close to the tire.
With 18" rims I only had to relocate the park brake cable bracket to the top of the arms. The end of the spring is inline with the rim.

I have Vansteels offset trailing arms.  I wish I'd gone the double offset route with a shorter springs.  I may have to run my car a little higher to make sure the bolts clear the tyre.

As said larger rims will clear the stock arms, but the smaller diameter rims will require offset arms to get decent backspace.

After taking my car for a wheel alignment I am now in need of a LH side trailing arm.
This is an old post but sirfixalot, scott or dirty rat do you still have anything available?
I will take a pair if you dont want to split them.
