In case you were unable to make it to Carlisle, PA back in May for the Premiere of The Quest, the acclaimed documentary about the Briggs Cunningham Corvettes that raced for the first time at 24 Hours of Le Mans back in 1960, we’ve got good news. The movie has been booked for an encore showing during Corvettes at Carlisle. The movie will be shown Thursday, August 25th at 8:00 pm. Get your tickets now because this event is sure to sell out!

The Quest tells the remarkable story of the Corvettes that raced at Le Mans and Chip Miller’s dream to restore the #3 Corvette and return to Le Mans in 2010 with original driver John Fitch to celebrate the 50th anniversary of that historic win. Chip’s goal was cut shot in 2004 when he passed away from an extremely rare disease called amyloidosis. His son Lance picked up his father’s quest and in 2010 returned the car and its driver to Le Mans to celebrate 50 years of Corvette racing at Le Mans.

Tickets for the encore showing of “The Quest” at Corvettes at Carlisle are available through this special website at a cost of $15 each plus a small service fee. Ticket’s not purchased in advance will be available at the theater’s box office beginning at 7pm on August 25, 2011 for a cost of $22 each.

Michael Brown, the producer and director of the documentary, will be on hand with Lance Miller as well as the historic #3 Briggs Cunningham Corvette.

We are also hearing that DVDs of the 84-minute documentary are in the works and may be available for purchase that evening.

A portion of each ticket sale will go to the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation for their efforts in aiding research and awareness of amyloidosis, the rare disease that took Chip Miller’s life.
