Leroy:
Hello there

Live in wa but looking to expand my knowledge on the stingray and hopefully own one

hope they drive nice

Love the look of one in flea bay but looking to avoid making mistakes hence turning to you guys

love the look of the 68 to 72 model

the one on sale any chance you guys know the one in question and you thoughts on it

1972 454 moray front

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380230484916&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

looks nice but looks like never been registered says all the works been done on it
would have to stick an underbody exhaust system on to licence it and the corvette club here say i would have to get it adr complienced with engineers report but did not really elaborate

would of thought if mechanically sound would be good to go

the owner say 454 is on the vin ls5  but if I was to go over anyone interested to come look with me or reccommend an engineer who would know what they are looking at

Guess the other question is the headlights are below the nose would that be an issue

let us know your thoughts

thanks in advance guys

It's a "bitza" and personally I would not touch it with the proverbial barge pole.

Do you know what you really want? Have you been looking at Vettes? Do you have an idea of what you want to spend?

If you're after a chrome bumper big block with a known pedigree, have a look at this one:

thanks for the reply

yeah the flip front got me but at the same time do like the front chrome bumper of the original

needs to good to go and little to do

definately want from 68 to 72 model BB with grunt peferably 4sd and a very tidy interior   50k would be good but can stretch if it is the one

matching numbers not a concern

as much as i like side pipes want to be able to register in wa

oh and black or silver is the colour

bitza refering to the flip front  or is there other things I missed

Bitza = bits 'a' this and bits 'a' that. I don't like molested chromies.

There could be all sorts of issues with that car. You don't know until you check it out in the flesh and drive it.

I get the feeling that car has been on eBay before, more than once. I could be wrong, but the hype in the description seems to ring a bell with me.

A colour preference of just silver or black may severely limit you if you want a chromie.

The key thing is not to be in too much of a hurry. The old saying applies: "Buy in haste, repent at leisure."

Leroy:
of course you are right paitence is something I struggle to exersize and yes may end up having to consider other colours neeed paitence for sure
