A few members are heading down to the Creek on Wednesday the 17[size=-1]th[/size] for a bit of fun down the 1/4 mile, the last time we were there was back in 2007 and we had a ball.

The cost: $50 to race and $20 to spectate with children under 12 FREE.

Gates open from 5pm.
Scrutinizing from 5pm until 7.30pm (unless 200 car quota filled before 7.30pm)
Racing from 6pm until 10pm

Important Items to bring:

Current Drivers License
Rego papers
Long sleeved shirt and pants
Closed-in shoes (no thongs or sandals)
Helmet displaying the following serial codes:
SNELL SA2000, SA2005, SFI 31.2A (USA)
SNELL M2000, M2005, SFI 41.2A (USA)
BS 6658-1985
AS/NZ 1698:2006 (AS/NZS 1698)

We had 4 brave souls turn up, 2 C6 verts 1 C4 coupe and 1 C3 BB.

We all got 4 runs each......

Allan's (73 big block) best run was a 15.2
.
Les's best was 13.665 @100.71mph
.
Paul's (BADVET) best was 13.983 @ 102.91mph
.
My (Warryn) best was 12.869 @113.83 my other three runs were all 12.9s

We are going back in about 6 weeks and hope to get a lot more Vets there:beer:

Hi Guys/Girls!

We had a great night last night at Eastern Creek Drags. 4 Vettes turned up and we raced each other. Warren had some issues with his being too fast for a convertible according to some very outdated rules. He ran a 12.9 and the powers to be considered it too dangerous for him to continue...funny how they seem to know more than GM whom built the car to do 300kph!

Warryn managed to convince them to let him run some more (never seen a grown man beg on his knees before as well as Warren did...

) and we finally got the two C6's together.

Some older Vettes turned up (sorry guys I can't remember your names) and they raced each other as well. It's good vision so enjoy the video and hopefully we might get more vettes next time.

Thanks for the video. Just a small request for the future ... hold the camera steady on the ET & Speed result screen for each lane for at least 3 seconds to allow time to read it. Do this after both cars have gone through the traps.

We may not be the quickest, but the Vettes got the attention. :ado:

Yes the camera operator is still getting the hang of how to do it...40 lashes and she should be fine next time...:club:
