I believe part of this may be directed to me personally, so I'll respond.

I DONT MEAN PAYING PRO'S TO DO IT BUT HOW ABOUT GETTING OUR VOLUNTEER JUDGES TO SCOPE THE RANGE BEFORE ACTUALLY JUDGING THEM. MY ENGINE BAY KICKS ARSE BUT ONLY GOT 5 MORE POINTS THAN THE GUY THAT ALWAYS COMES FIRST AND HIS E/BAY IS PLAIN. OR IS IT BECAUSE IM NOT 80 YO AND DONT SOCIALISE WITH CLUB HIERACHY? KEEP THE TROPHIE IM DOIN WHAT MY MATES TOLD ME TO DO AGES AGO, IM NOT RENEWING MY M/SHIP.
You should have been handed your trophy on the day and if not, then very soon afterwards, so you have a legitimate complaint there, and that should be directed to the President or Vice President personally.
I would like to make a few points about the other issues raised:
Before every Show and Shine event the Committee calls for people to volunteer as judges. That call is open to every member. Volunteers, giving up their day, are behind every role and task in the Club.
Yes, your engine bay is very neat but there are 4 aspects judged, namely engine bay, interior, exterior and presentation -- perhaps attention needs to be paid to all components.
None of the Committee, which is the team that manages the club's activities, is anywhere near 80 years old, a fact that is immediately evident upon introducing yourself to them.
I don't always come first. The record shows that your car won that trophy last year.
Finally, this club prides itself on its friendly and social nature. If socialising is not your thing, fair enough, but it if it is then you are very welcome, along with all members, to join us on the many club events offered throughout the year.
There are no hard feelings on my part and I hope to see you at Bella Vista next year.
