Air Conditioning Re-Gas
«

Just imported a 1976 C3. It is standard and requires the A/C regas. I'm reluctant to convert it from R12 to R134a. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Can you still get R12 re-gas?
Is there another gas you can savely use other than R134a and the conversion required to use this?

R12 gas was banned from aircon and aerosols in the mid 90's.
As far as I know, R134a is the only legal replacement in Oz. It is a restricted refrigerant and installers have to be licensed to use it.

old gas is mostley only now used at some hospitals, so you will have to convert, its not a big issue, just dosn't get quite as cold
