thanks guys(and gals if theres any on here) the cars a 74,350 auto....dont really know much about it.its at an auction house so the auctiioneer wont tell me the owners name(so i dont deal directly with him i guess) which is fair enough.....its at bennetts classic auctions.me and gus did a day trip to look at a few on monday....originally i went to mainly look at a left hook 76,that was suppopsed to be red.told the bloke i would be there at 11am,we get there 10 mins early....he came out and opened the roller door.and there is the most dirty vette you ever seen.no respect....had pushbikes leaning on it...seats ripped, and a flat tyre...not very well presnted...bloke said he never had time to clean it.(i gave him 3 days)the bloke was a chrysler freak....even his dog was called mopar.BUT the vette was very straight.....could get it for 16k....had the indicators and seat belts completed.....the car hasnt moved for 3 yrs and not started for 6 mths...but it did fire right up,and 5k on top would have a very nice lhd 76 on the road.... after looking at a few others including a perfect 74 convert with 350 4 speed in red for 32k.we went and had a look at gus conversion....spotted the 71 and big doller build 69,then off to bennetts auction....fell in love with it straight away....few thing need attending like the lights not popping up correctly.(left never moved, right came up half way them closed) and the drivers window is sticking out a bit....but its a rhd drive car, hopefully when i get it i can trace some of the history...present owner only had it for a year, and owner before that had it 15yrs.
