Anyone know C4 Tape deck dimensions W x L x H
« on: July 30, 2007, 07:44:35 PM »
:p Hi all .....

I'm looking at buying a CD player (preferably Bose) and want to know the dimensions needed for a nice fit to replace the tapedeck. You know without modifications etc.

There are a number of american models that have tape/Cd combinations that may suit the C4.

If you have fitted a Cd player that sits perfect in the C4 let me know.

Any help would be appreciated :x

Thanks!:spook

The size is "industry standard" 1.5 DIN.
Once you start looking for a 1.5 DIN sized head unit you'll know why I put "industry standard" in inverted commas. ;30

Are you planning on building a serious sound system or just wanting to update?
One simple option is to fit a purpose built deck that plugs into the original wiring and looks almost factory. Something like this 180w Pioneer deck.

My stereo upgrad started with a "simple" rear speaker upgrade but ended up a complete interior upgrade and recarpet.....
