July 1st Go Karting day at Eastern Creek

Called into the Eastern Creek karts today and got some information. The package that we have voted on is called Mini Grand Prix, 4 Heats & the Grand final. Track time is around 1.5 to 2.0 hrs .If we have 10-20 drivers all LUNATICS will be on the track together but If there are more than 20 we will be split into two groups & the circuit will be book for 4.5hrs instead of 3hrs. Cost $ 199.00 per person.The 1/7/07 is vacant for a 9.00am start so we need to have final numbers and the deposit.

Okay guys :) :)

Eastern creek phoned to confirm our booking for the 1st of July it's booked for a 9.00am start you need to be there by 8.30. Photo ID needed to register. Helmets,Racesuits, Gloves & Hairnets are supplied. Bring enclosed shoes.The first hour will be taken up with Registration forms & Driver Training/Safety Briefing.

Numbers have to be confirmed by the 15/6/07

Just an update gang.

From the discussions we had at last nights club meeting, the boys are also putting a BBQ together after the Go Karts.  This will be at $5.00 per head.

Where:-
At our warmer months Tuesday Night BBQ spot Doonside

Directions:-
If traveling westbound along the M4 take, Reservoir Rd Blacktown exit, turn right and follow to Great Western Highway, turn left onto Great Western Highway to the Shell garage at Eastern Creek then turn right into Doonside Rd. Then Turn right at second set of lights into Douglas Rd, take 1st left into Rosenthal and the park is 200m on the left hand side.

If traveling southbound on M4, take Reservoir Rd exit turn left and follow to Great Western Highway, turn left onto GWH to the Shell garage at Eastern Creek turn right into Doonside Rd. Turn right at second set lights into Douglas Rd, take 1st left into Rosenthal St and the park is 200m on the left hand side.


As for the, "what do you get  for ya $5.00" :-

"Thin snags, chicken skewers (get in early on these), ;39  onions, sliced bread, margarine, sauces tomato & bbq,  coleslaw, salad, dips & crackers, soft drinks & water, plastic cutlery, plates.  If they want they can bring their own alcohol.

There is some seating for people but if some could bring their own it would help.

There are amenities"



Initally the boys need to get the $199 off everyone up front.

Nick has given me a list of who he has money off and who he has contacted so far.

As for payment, give Joe a call on 04 04 04 2393 and transfer it electronically to his account or you can give Nick  cash on the Western breaky run this weekend if your attending.

I will be calling all outstanding people over the next couple of days to help out here in organising the money.

The $5.00 for the BBQ is over and above the $199.  Of course the BBQ is not compulsory.

For the ones that are paying on the day there is a 3% surcharge on credit card transactions so bring $$$$.

Due to the amount of people they have to split us into two groups you still get the same amount of track time.

If you're going to the BBQ could you please bring along a chair or two. There is seating available but not for 30 + people (Anyone want to be chef for the day), don't forget there is a $5.00 per head for the BBQ any profit will go to the club kitty

The track is 1.24 km's in length very fast

Each group will have
Warm up       3 to 4 laps 5 minutes
Heat 1 -              8 laps ;54
Heat 2 -              8 laps ;54
Heat 3 -              8 laps ;54  
Heat 4 -              8 laps ;54
Grand final        12 laps ;54

Max called me today.  He lives up at Leura in the mountains.  He will be carless that day and is going to come down in the train.  Is there anybody that is either:-

A) coming down who lives in the mountains

OR

 B) could possibly pick him up at one of the railway stations on that line
