puds radiator support rust repair.

pud pulled the radiator out of his 73 to fix a small leak.while it was out he decided to fix the radiator surround,as it was very rusty.heres how he repaired it,using 1 inch square tubing. involved a bit of cutting and bending to follow the origianl shape.all i did was the tig welding.top job puds.

more updates.
bit hard to see,but in 3rd pic where the new metal was welded to the old itsa bit rough.the original metal is 2 pieces sandwiched together and spot welded.when i was welding new to old i was burning through the first piece of original metal and weld didnt like the rust that was between the 2 pieces.

as i said earlier,all i did was the welding.pud takes all the credit for the fabrication.

all done and back in vette.just needs radiator and shes away.
