;33 ,heres a little project i am undertaking over the next week,so i think this is a common problem so i will take yous for a ride.;51 firstly my mirror flops down when i put the boot into the old girl;38so to fix it i will soak mirror in petrol for 24 hours:{this will make the glass loose and easy to remove;49 then look at problem, i am guessing loose rivet;40i will make a shim, fit it ,glue it,replace glass ,;50with glue;48,i will take pics and post them as i go;29,any tips as i go along (what type o glues, epoxy etc)will be a benifit to any one with a c3:luv so here goes the first step:)

OK next day the glass fell staight out,the silicone you see was still intact, just peel it away and wipe off,i thought about scrapeing it,but maybe you could scratch the mirror,so avoid that temtation:spook

That's why I have moved it here to the tech tips section Joe.

Once mad has finished it, I'll redo the format with his pictures and have it loaded into  new tech tips section on the WEBSITE called Tech Torque.  Once I have enough Tech Tips like this I'll get the new Tech Torque switched on.

To give you an idea of what we are trying to achieve have a look at this site HERE.  This is the type of information we would like the members to come up with :)

Sorry for the digress Glenn. ;42

just a tip, before you use the silicone, just give the chrome edge a clean, just in case it got some epoxy on it,that would be the time to clean away.
