My Visit to Scot's workshop at Dee-why to discuss few things about my vette, the tyre issue (rubbing on front Fender)

Firstly I would like to Thanks Corvette alerations and Conversions (Scott G) for taking the time to go through with things that I need to be done in order to improve my corvette. As a result many issues that I have not been aware of were brought to my attention. I am just hoping (cross my fingers) all will be done before the convention.

One can describe Chromie as Passionate, full of knowledge and wise man! Again many thanks for the tips and the news things that i learnt today. Some pics during my visit

Many thanks Chromie and will talk soon!

Last time I spoke with Scott about it, he was in the process of setting up to hire the cars out.

Hi jolinari
Thanks for the praise;mmm
I can rectify the faults on your Corvette in February so you will have plenty of time to test it before the Convention in April. Let me know what you want done and I will quote before we do the repairs.;42

I am more than happy to give advice at no charge (as long as I do not have to dismantle to inspect a fault). If anyone wants to bring their Corvette to my workshop they are welcome to do so as long as they book in rather than just show up.

Oh yeah thanks for the coffee jolinari, I will let you know how good it is when I have the time to try it.:24

it has no windscreen/a pillars but what is so special about that,a grinder/hacksaw will do that.It also has a fibreglass front bar (about an 81/82 model) looks to be moulded on to the front to make it a one piece nose cone. This is not a look that i like as it makes the front look to bulky with no lines to help break up the shape.
fill us in Jo what is so special?

p.s...............the new wheels look trick i love them, makes the car look low and tough.

I will shed some light on the 1974;27
1/ Yes it has a 1980-82 front bumper bar and it is bolted to the clip, it also has a 1980-82 rear bumper bar bolted onto the tail.
2/ It is runnung a 502 (600HP/600ft/lbs torque) with a tricked auto
3/ It also has a custom L88 style hood to clear carburettor and air cleaner.
4/ Front and rear guards as well as the doors have been flaired to fit 11" X 18" wheels on the rear and 10 1/2" X 18" wheels on the front. I have also flaried the front bumper bar.
5/ The flairs have been droped around the wheels to give it a low off the ground appearance with out actually lowering the vehicle's suspension.
The flairs are in the first stage, as they are yet to have a radius put into it to match the body contour.:luv

my budy pud has a 73 with  an 80 nose....he doesnt have grills fitted .so he made some.now pud is not your average bloke....he makes things instead of buying them.the grill pieces he are using are from would you believe a HZ holden....icecube tray like a 70-72 vette.when he gets them finished i will get some pics.im still trying to picture it.he was in vette last week, tried to get reverse and snapped the reverse lock out lever.had to push it from parking bay.so what does pud do? make a new one oout of stainless pipe, got me to tig weld some small finger bars on and shazzam. polished it up and works a treat.
