1980 headlight problem
nifty:
lights still pop up but no light.
Cameron 77C3:
The circuit breaker is on the fuse box in a 77. Read the above and it may help.
The lights will blink on and off if it's a short. If they don't come on at all, possibley the connector has been bumped off the light, unlikely, or the earth has been broken off the chassis when the hose was changed.
Cameron 77C3:
Some vettes also have a micro switch on the headlight mech that does not let the lights come on if they are down. This may have been damaged as well.
But I'm going for a broken earth.

Hi nifty ;42
Often when headlights operate in the vacuum circuit but do not luninate and the fuse is OK it is the headlight dip switch that has failed;38
Dip switchs on pre 1977 are located on the floor
Dip switches on 1977 are located inside the steering column
Dip switches on 1978-82 are located at the lower end of the steering column on the left side just below the ignition switch
I have the dip switches in stock if this is the problem:luv
The wiring loom does have a circuit breaker which is on the firewall (self setting)
There are two fuseable links in the wiring loom as well but they supply everything so if everything else is working then they have not blown.
Hope this helps;28
