The day started a little earlier for a few of us.

First order of business was to set up the marques....

Then it was time to put out some nibbles before the caterers arrived....

And it didn't take long for the locusts to swarm....

By now people had started to arrive and kicked back to enjoy the day....

There was the usual crowd that we all have come to know....

It didn't take long for the boys to start checking out each others beasts....

More turned up and made themselves comfy

And some were in luxury

And some were a little late, but better than never

Parking space was becoming a premium but everyone worked together and all fitted.

By now the caterers had arrived and the food queue quickly grew

Then it was time to sit down and enjoy the food

We had some different beasts turn up by some proud owners. Note the number plate. Hint, Hint!

After lunch we had Santa arrive and then we got into our games/activities were upon I switched to video mode so I'll leave the posting of pics of this to the rest of the gang.

After the games we had one gentleman who thought he had misplaced is silver ring so there was a mad search on to find it. Wouldn't you know it...it was in his pocket. Won't mention any names, but I can guarantee squire that you have not heard the last of it.;39

Well that's it from me. We had a ball and I hope you all did too. Hats off to you one and all for all the great company and fun.

See you all at our last club meeting of the year, first Tuesday of Dec. If I don't see you there, have a Merry Xmas and a safe new year.

And the junior gumboot division was there too

The tug of war - C3's vs C4's

It was 1-1 - until one of the teams decided to let go of the rope in the final ;41

And the day ended all too quickly when everyone said their goodbyes and headed home
