Hood Release Cable

<< < (2/3) > >>

69VETTE:
Thanks Chromie,

I believe one end is fixed ( with the perforated metal end) and the other end is the one that has the tie down wire cable grip.  (something like what they use on bike brakes)

Thanks for the advice.

In the catalogues that i have checked, i believe the wire comes with the black sheith, and its dated 69-76.

Cheers.

But is anyone still knows where i can get one made, all suggestions welcomed.

Chromie:

Hello Chromie,

Yeah i know them as i have recently replaced the tacho cable inner that broke.

I really don't think that they could do a replacement like the one under the bonnet, i think i will order it from the states as i would like to keep it as original as possible.

Thanks

Cameron 77C3:
69Vette.  You do know that you can buy that cable from Chromie's business.  In case you don't know, he is the owner of Corvette Alterations here in Sydney.  He has been too polite to say so.  He's got on here to sincerely help us out and didn't want to be seen to be promoting his business.  But I think it's safe to let you know who he is.  He is one genuine bloke.

Whilst the part will be more expensive than buying direct from the states you will not have to worry about freight costs and:-

(A) You have it almost straight away
(B) If there are any problems you don't have to deal with someone half way across the world in a different time zone.

69VETTE:
Thanks for the advice Cam.
