just like you said a thin coat and do it wet you have plenty of time before it skins over tension bolts and your done black silicon 712 is what we use all the time we have never had a failure

Today I went to
Bunnings, Auto parts, Repco, Luckey exhausts and SBC
Looking for black solicon 712, with no luck
Best I could find was one rated at 320 degrees C
and not recommended for exhausts.
WHERE DO YOU GET IT!
