way to much work and it will end up owing you a fortunewhats it worth, well probably if you could get it for $5,000 aussie and all the parts that were taken off the car bar engine & box maybe, but still huge dollars will be invested in this project to do it justice, good luck keep us posted on what you do.;40

Looks like it would be one of those jobs that to get it to a reasonable standard would take much more money than buying a good vette of similar standard in the first place, i reckon the only reason to buy a vette like that is if you were after a particular part ie body panels, chassis etc to complete another more cost effective restoration or repair already at a much closer stage to completion. that's what i reckon anyway.

G'day 69vette, I resized ya pics for ya so they fit better on the screen to make easier reading.  Also..................
From the site:-

"Vehicle Description

for auction is a 69 corvette coupe,427-435-automatic,this corvette has no engine or trans.green and green .has large fuel line, big automatic radiator, rear sway bar, caps holding rear end shafts to yokes,hi rpm tack,hi oil pressure gaugethis car looks good, just dirty from over 16 years storage.i bought  vehicle about 17 years ago with a small block engine in it.the person had it stored in his barn  in wva i removed the fuel tank and removed the tank sticker to verify its roots and stored it till this week, tank copy is rough but  you can yet read most of it.it has the last 3 digits of vin.penciled on copy and readable as did all copys or stickers.i have some title copys back to 1972.there is no engine or trans.with vehicle.it is complete otherwise.i had  the  frame media blasted 16 years ago and didn't paint it.it has surface rust only and in good cond.it has been in a unheated garage since ,thats why its so dirty .needs seat covers and carpet, rest of interior is fine.appears to have a early after mkt.ft.nose.excellent hood.has grilles, hood,ft.and rear bumpers, radiator, all beauty rings, only 1 center cap has been found.seats door panels, radio, steering column ,yet has the decal see pics.we have a correct 512 block (does not go w/this auction, can be bought after sale)w/heads and new crank and used rods and pistons complete tri.pwr w/fuel lines and air cleaner which can be bought after car sells.(9000.00.) will make a very hi dollar corvette when restored, there was only 212 vehicles  built  w/this option.tank sticker shows engine-12l71aa,trans.02m40af.car is good enough as is to put a used engine and trans.and drive it.good solid body w/no cracks or breaks.i have a reserve but if not met may sell to high bid"

Current bid $2500 U.S

If your looking at a long term project car I reckon it would be a good one at that price.  Quartine is going to love it.  LOL!!

Looks like that car needs a total rebuild (which will take a massive amount of time and similar amount of money).

Personally I'd look for something that is in better shape for more money upfront to save myself some time, money and headaches in the long run.
