ok..im a 39 yr boilermaker / welder @ onesteel whyalla for last 23yrs,married 3 young girls, all blonde blue eyes(need a shotgun).first vette i went in was a  white 70 LS5,in 1984.tried to buy it,26,500.bank laughed at me cause i was an apprentice.never seen the car again until last year on a video from corvette club of s.a...a lady owned it... i hear it sold last yr for 50k. a few friends have vettes, in order,steve.69 coupe 427/435hp..lhd not on the road yet but close.ian 73 BB  rhd for sale, tony 74 BB lhd ,craig 75 rhd, john 77 lhd,gus 80 lhd and a bloke has 2 85's.but just used for drag racing.another friend has a 73 BB on the way from usa.....i just love vettes.i WILL buy one day,but how do i know if im getting a good car?..importer friend dont have a passion for vettes,he's a mopar guy.so he lets me have a drive or ride in his imported stuff;-)...i drove a 74 BB, bit rough but top project car.and a supercharged 75,also for sale @37k.......i hear some horror stories about vettes...so i dont want to get burned....he is looking for a cheapy for me,but its got to be over 30yrs old to get lhd rego here.i would prefer a rhd,but talking to a mate who bought a 69 vert rhd from out of state,he had a hell of a time getting it rego'ed in s.a...had to get an engineer involved, @1000 bucks..just to get a plate..

mod notes.  Moved here from babes thread.  Cam

"blown 75...car is now in adelaide.south australia and for sale.37k au..i have been for a cruise, goes good..watch the hot pipes on exiting.(i learnt the hard way)"

there are plenty of good vetts for sale in aussie,my advise is buy one that has allready had the conversion done and wiyh rego on it,theres half your problems solved, and someone else has done the work.to make sure you are not getting ripped off, take a club member with you that is knowlegable in the model that you are after.thats another thing ,work out wich model you want, set a money limit that is in your budget and go looking.when you buy one no matter what one you get you will eventually want to spend more on the car ,so keep a little in reserve.good luck and wellcome to the corvette fraternity;42;42;42;42;42;42;42;42;42;42
