My master brake cylinder is marked PBR Made in Australia - does anyone know what recon kit will fit it?
I'm having some strange problems with the brakes, partially binding, seems to be heat related - for those interested full post here

y dont u give them a call...have u tried?

Stingraynut:
thanks jolinari, what a good idea! I've called them but they are already closed for the day due to the time difference.
I'll try again tomorrow
I've spoken to a brake workshop here and they say from my description that it is most likely a 'rubber reaction disc' in the M/C - can't see one in the manual.
Which is why I'd like to find out as much as possible for myself - I doubt that I am the first person to have to recondition their master cylinder.

i just changed mine recently...the kit was about $70 for vette 72 but i said stuff it change it to new one so i changed the whole unit for $169.00 and at least i can track things in my log book....it depends on ur budget dude...and dont forget to change that oil inside once a year....very hygroscopic stuff!!! watch out and pretty damaging to the hands as well;-)
Stingraynut:
$169 - I'd change mine too, but they're $364 for the 1988 at Pontiworld
I've had the fluid changed 3 times, and I don't believe any of the 3 different workshops did a full flush - I had brake fade last week coming down a simple 200 metre road.
I shall have to do it myself, like all the other jobs.
