'73 C3 Stingray Restoration
« on: January 22, 2024, 10:14:28 AM »
Hi everyone,

Great to be a new member on this forum.

I am based in NSW and am looking for a reputable classic car / Corvette restoration company?

I am looking to undertake a full resto of our vette and am struggling to find specialists. Hoping the forum world can help....

Thanks in advance

What do you mean by restoration?    Mechanical , Paint , Trim ?

Thanks for the response,

We have owned the car for 20 odd years, however it has sat in a shed for the last 5 years and not been driven.

So I am looking for a full overhaul to get the vehicle back to the condition it should be, including a check on the engine - I know it needs a new alternator, but there are probably more issues to find.

It will need a respray with some minor fiberglass body work required, and repair to the bonnet hood (currently no aligning properly when closed).

I am also interested in trim work to the interior - new seats, center cluster and door skins. I'm sure this list will grow very quickly.

Thanks again

For body work , spray painting  Precision Marine Refinishing   33 Cottam Ave Bankstown they have done a few club cars which have won  at  show  and shine. Mechanical SR Performance Arncliffe club member Steve at Sr Performance may be also able to point you toward trimmers, painters.

Thanks for the responses.

I like the idea of one restorer looking after the project. I have tried to contact "Try Down Town Kustoms, Taree" but still awaiting a response.

Do you have any other recommendations?

Thanks in advance
