I was having trouble but everything is working now. I have the tack filter connected but wanted to tidy it up with the original connector so if it fails I can just unplug it from the filter and plug directly into the HEI.

Now as per you MAD Website, cct download, it stresses the fact that it must be bolted down, a nice fat earth. If you have trouble with noise in the radio that varies with engine revs, you can decouple the power (+12ve) with a capacitor between the +pos and ground at the radio - but also a VERY heavy earth wire from radio case to a solid fat ground can also help greatly.
