Nulon Nationals January Show and Shine Saturday16th

Subject: Nulon Car Clubs January Show 'n Shine

Hi Corvetters,

For the past two years, our friends At Nulon have run an interclub motorsport series, known as The Nulon Nationals, featuring a selection of invited car clubs. The four event series included a skidpan motorkhana, hillclimb, circuit sprint, and an airport runway half mile drag.
The first round of the 2016 series will be a motorkhana on the Sydney Motor Sports Park skidpan, on Saturday 16th January 2016.
In conjunction with this event, Nulon have invited NSW Corvettes, along with many other car clubs that they have supported in recent years, to put on a mammoth show 'n shine at the Eastern Creek circuit. They have hired the entire track for the day, and will be using the main straight, as well as an area behind the pits, to conduct one of the largest car shows Sydney has seen for some time.

Your committee would like to add this event to our January events calendar. We acknowledge the short notice, and that the All American show at Castle Towers is on the following day, however we ask that you make every effort to join our Club on this day to show our support for one of our Club's valued sponsors and supporters. We are currently in discussion with Nulon regarding their support of our 2017 Nationals, and this is a great opportunity to reciprocate and support them.

It is hoped that we can field upward of 40 Corvettes for Nulon's show, and they are keen to see a good representation of the various Corvette generations. The Mustang Owners and Chevrolet Clubs have also indicated their acceptance, as well as some more recent marques incuding HSV and several Japanese clubs.

This is also an opportunity to have a close look at what a motorkhana is all about, and the car club running the event on the day is the same one that runs several rounds of the State championships.

We would ask that you reply to this invitation by Monday 4th January, to enable Nulon to plan our display area. Please direct your reply to our secretary Tracy by this date.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Nulon Nationals 2016 Show N Shine information
Its official, we have access to hold a huge Show N Shine on the main straight of Sydney Motorsport Park on January 16th during round 1 of our event.
We would love to invite you to a very unique event. On January 16th we have hired out Eastern Creek Raceway for the first round of our Nulon Nationals series. As part of this event we have decided to get in touch with all of our clubs and put on a bit of a show n shine. We have access to spots for 300-400 cars that will be spread down the main straight of the race track (nobody has done this before)
What I would love to see is as many different types of cars as possible, We want to attract everything from 1920`s vintage to 60`s and 70`s sports cars right the way through to exotic European supercars. We have a limit of 450 cars so once its full we can’t accept any more.
your clubs have a huge range of amazing cars, and it would be great if you wanted to represent them within a club display, we will have awards for the best single display as well as awards and prizing for the best club display
The Show N Shine will be judged in 8-10 categories and we would love clubs with 10 cars or more entered to supply a judge to vote on things such as:
•   Best paint job
•   Best car display
•   Best under carriage
•   Best body work
•   Best restoration
•   Best club display
•   Best wheels
•   Best fitment
•   Best Bodykit
•   Best theme
•   Best engine bay
•   Best Muscle car
•   Best Classic car
•   Best modified
•   Best pre 60`s
•   Best 70`s
•   Best pre 90`s
•   Best post 2000
•   Best in show (big one)
These are not finalised names but you get the idea. Each award will also receive $300 Nulon Prize pack as well as a profile on the NulonNationals.com.au website. If you think I have missed anything, I am happy to take suggestions on the trophies and awards. We have attached a layout of the event which will explain where we are putting the show n shine as well as the Nulon Nationals drivers.

Last chance to register for this show guys. Nulon needs final numbers, so acceptance closes today. We have 20 Corvettes signed up for next Saturday's show.
Should be a great display, with most generations represented. Thanks everyone for your support.
Please get in touch with Jorge if you need a run number for your club rego vehicle.    :drag:

And many thanks to the members who braved the weather forecast to support our club, and importantly support our sponsors Nulon.
