Steve,
Were you able to just drive up and park, or did you have to book a place?

Were you able to just drive up and park, or did you have to book a place?

I had RSVP'd on their facebook page but there was nobody taking down names; first in best dressed, as long as you get there early you should be right.

This was the layout proposed last week:

Only parking area 1 was filled and some people were only there for a half hour or so; Area 1 was packed at 8.30am but some people left soon after; you could've got a spot there if you arrived at 9am. There was also room in front of area 1, where the green A9X lookalike is parked.

Not sure what is going on but the whole foreshore; parking area 2; was filled with regular cars. I suspect regular folk get there early, park and do the bay run but I didn't notice any leaving; maybe they get a spot early and spend the morning at the park, etc.

Thanks Steve, it all looks very interesting. You are correct that carpark fills up on a Sunday, with people doing the bay run. Great location, see you there next month,

I mentioned to Sam about the full capacity message he was sending out; it may have kept a few away; true he had close to 400 RSVP his fb page but it's never a true indicator. My band gets over 200 people worldwide saying they're going to a pub gig in Leichhardt; we get 70 payers, half of which didn't RSVP on facebook.  Fb'ers tend to say they're going out of courtesy.

Of course, he has good intentions of not attracting the cops but as you can see, I've got 100 photos or so and some are more than one of the same car; nowhere near 400 cars.

see you there next month

I've heard a few say they're definitely going to the next one after seeing these photos, I feel this one is going to get bigger and better so get in early. ;)

It was a great day with 5 of our cars attending. 9 members in 5 cars went on to St George Motorboat Club for lunch overlooking Kogarah Bay. Good food and corvette friendly parking with the great race in the background :thumb:
Great fallback run when you've got time and there's nothing else planned.

Nice GT6! The satin black Camaro is tough as, and I'd love to know how the owner of that Mustang gets away with the huge blower out the bonnet! Very very cool assortment of cars.
