Found this link by RMS on the sysyem, very easy to read and very well detailed.
This is a major bonus for the current club rego system and while under the trial no increase in cost at all.
There was a bit of talk last night at the AGM about the system cancelled or on hold, this is NOT CORRECT its up and running now.
Here is the link.

Consistent with the advice I provided to the club last night.
The club registrar needs to indicate the clubs willingness to participate in the scheme.
Jorge is listed as the appropriate person. NSW Corvettes is not currently participating.
rosco:
Totally correct and I did remember you stating that last night. :hi:
Just thought I would get it out there for the members that did not attend last night.
Having a look at the clubs that have already opted in, (very few at this stage)the majority are the custom clubs.
It would appear all our club needs to do is send of the email to opt in and away we go.
It looks like a win win for the first two yrs and then can re-evaluate . :pepper:

G'day does anyone know if a vehicle over 30 years old but been converted to rhd still qualify for this type of rego, I have checked local rms a few months back but they said it wouldnt due to the conversion but they also told me other stuff that was found to be incorrect. Thanks

All the advice indicates any vehicle currently on historic rego is OK and that the next phase will include significantly modified vehicles.
I did read that any modification to make a vehicle compliant with Aust standards was not considered a modification for historic rego.
My reading indicates RHD conversion will not be a problem providing it has been approved ie currently registered.
