C6. Rear deck fitting - any ideas?
« on: July 29, 2015, 05:00:11 PM »
Currently looking at a 05 silver conv auto in Qld, pics show a fitting on the rear deck, at first I thought fuel filler, but have seen pics of LH side where there appears to be fuel cap behind the door handle. I thought the rear opens up as a boot - so what would be fitted to the deck? Any insight here would be appreciated!?..

What about a hitching point, to tow out of any where it gets bogged.

Yeah .... Maybe.... I just can't imagine anyone in their right mind hacking holes in a perfectly good Corvette. But obviously there are some - like that 99 for sale for $85K....... Still some one out there will like it and buy it.

Thanks Mr 502. I might have to update my Black Book - corvette buyers guide.... Mine is only third edition and does not cover C5. I can't imagine what was going thru GM's mind when they decided to design that feature... Even my 03 BA Fairmont has antennas built into both front and rear screens ?????!??!...
