new here; lots to learn; c3 mechanic
« on: June 07, 2015, 02:28:22 PM »
Hi there
bought a red Corvette recently and so far everything is fine except the steering has too much play.
What an amazing piece of machine; 36 years old and all the gauges still working fine....good transmission etc...
Also I would like to have the car inspected by an experienced corvette mechanic; just to make sure that all is ok; no leaks etc.
I have no idea how old the engine is. All I know it's an EDELBROCK. Not sure if it's the original one.
I live on the central coast.

PS.
Never realised how much attention these cars get.

Any recomendation is very much appreciated.

Ummm! Central Coast. If you were in Campbeltown - Ron Missen or my personal man "Jensen" at Minto but I'm sure Pete or someone up there will recommend a local bloke.

I'd contact Mike or Clint at Long Jetty Automotive Engineering, Cnr. The Entrance Road (now Central Coast Highway) and Minto Street, Long Jetty Tel 4332 5570. I live at Long Jetty, might also be able to give you some assistance.

I should add, if you want the steering checked out, talk to David at Coaststeer Automotive, Anzac Road Long Jetty, 4334 2258. They were pretty good with my '75.

Better give them a call first. I'm not sure if they're open every Saturday or not.
