Good Afternoon Everyone

For this year’s Shannons Sydney Classic the CMC and ARDC will be running a strong advertising campaign on radio stations 2GB and 2CH during the week preceding the event. One idea is for listeners to ring in and win tickets plus we would like to offer them rides, in the vehicle of their choice, around the track with some of our loyal supporters who would like to help out and hopefully enthuse some new devotees to our hobby.

There may be some compensation in the way of a fuel tank top up for those club members who do volunteer themselves and their vehicles for a reasonable period during the day. 

If there are any winners who are children (unlikely given the demographics of the stations we are running with) they will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Not about to ask you to take a risk with that issue given the way our society is today.

So, if you or your club members have an interesting vehicle and would like to offer it for these rides during the Sunday of the event, please fill in the attached form and send it back to us. We do not want all of the vehicles to be exotics. Interesting, classic, unusual and good old bread and butter cars which will bring back memories for the folks riding with you are just as important as that flashy convertible. Mind you, we will no doubt get plenty of requests for those so all will be welcomed.
And you will get to do a lot more laps than the usual one and a half.

Please let us know ASAP if you’d like to take part so that we can plan the radio advertising campaign.

Please circulate this email to your members to ask for volunteers for this initiative.
