I think it's fairly expensive to hire the track and  you would need the numbers to keep individual cost down.  Last time I went it was a joint club event between/with some other clubs.
I'll ask when I'm at the track next which is April 12 for round 2.

There's plenty of street meets that be on at the track

Lets make this happen with enough interest.
The club held a get together back in 2007 for a mid week run to WSDW.

Now that sound like fun unsettling the officials

Was at the drags yesterday, 02/04/14.  Spoke to the officials.  Track hire is $200 per driver.  You get the drivers ticket plus 5 more for spectators/pit crew.  Minimum 40 cars & a max of 50 give or take a little.  Probably better to do a Wednesday night or a Sunday event when they run them which is usually once per month http://www.sydneydragway.com.au/events/sunday-street-meet-2014-4/ ....

OR tack ya selves onto anther car club who need numbers wishing to do a track hire.  (Note :  helmet regs have literally just changed so helmets will have to meet the new regs)

Always a fun time at the drags..

There seems to be plenty of interest among some of the lads to get on the track.  Monthly Sunday street meets are now listed on the Sydney Dragway site here http://www.sydneydragway.com.au/events/
Might be worth looking into guys
