that is about par for the course
the last two shipments I received  USPS
were similar
one took 4 days  from Florida to Sydney and 16 days from Sydney to Picton  NSW
two more weeks and I could have shipped by sea.

On top of that they Damaged it and I had to wait for a replacement.
lucky I took the insurance and the suppler in the US when to bat for me to get it sorted.

The result was 16 weeks give or take a few days
then the replacement turned up with some minor damaged  :grr:
I repaired that as I would not wait any longer

UPS is my least favourite shipper. I prefer to user DHL or FedEx if given the choice.

And I have used DHL twice to initiate pickups from this end and collect in the USA in cases where the eBay seller did not want to ship internationally because of the perceived hassle involved. The process was very simple and DHL picked up from the seller's premises. I got great service and 48 hour delivery (not cheap but fast and reliable). Advantage of DHL is that they don't require you to have an account with them to do this, whereas other couriers do.

DHL are good to deal with
make sure you have all the correct paper work before they pick up.

Find out who will be doing your import here in Aus
and email  a copy of everything to  there office here.
don't forget to do the free trade agreement paper work

do it door to door  and it will turn up with the least amount of trouble

DHL will quote you over the phone as long as you have package dimensions and weight and pickup address, and will process the booking that way, too. The seller's local DHL depot takes care of the rest.
