C6 master cylinder problems (performax)
« on: March 12, 2014, 12:36:06 PM »
Hello all -Has anyone that has had a c6 manual conversion done with Performax ,had a problem with the clutch- master cylinder ?

I had my master cylinder come apart last year and it has just happened again

Although it is a relatively cheap part to purchase, the labor content is fairly dear

Thanks guys for any input

is the  a warranty consideration
or has it lasted long enough to not be covered by warranty

master cylinders are reasonable basic units
its had to understand just how it could go wrong.
Do you have any photos

cars now done 30,000 kms- however the master cylinder has just come apart again after (11 months/1500 kms)believe it or not, it clips together quite easily but im to scared to reuse it. im thinking maybe it is not seated in line properly- hence could it be an engineering/conversion problem .

Have you spoken to Performax about it at all?

I would be keen to see it as well or hear more as about to get a conversion done there myself.
