69VETTE:
Hello Andy, no problems your welcome.

Since your last email, two of the club members have decided to sell their cars. One is an original, fully documented and specked up yellow C3 bigblock Corvette. See  under corvettes for sale buddy.

The seller goes under the name of Raafrebel and then theirs also another original 1968 tan bigblock tri power Corvette (which i forgot to mention is also a NCRS documented paperwork vette of high quality Vette) which one member has recently also decided to sell due to ill health reasons.

So save yourself the trouble and money and go and check both these vehicles out. . I highly recommend this, and also see if your happy with the space and internal fitment.

Michael

Would anyone be willing to take me for a ride in their C3? Mainly to see if I fit? (I'm 6' 1"). I'm sure I would be able to repay you. Maybe some spares while I'm in LA??? Any one interested?

Andy.

Andy I'm not sure where you live??? However I'm in  NSW Wollongong and only to happy to take a potential new C3 Vette owner for a spin and also to explain / visualise  what o be looking for in in the flesh....  P.S if your a tall boy like I don't rule out convertibles

69VETTE:
Andy, if your going to the states all too well, however if your looking for a vette, its much easier to purchase one already in the Country.
But as always, this depends on what model your looking for, what the price tag is advertised and whether the seller is willing to negotiate on a fair and reasonable price, based on todays market value and not a price based on three years ago.

Note that both cars mentioned above are good and im sure priced fairly.

Actually, nobody knows where the Simpsons are from.

The writers wanted them to be an average ‘simpleton’ (cunningly abbreviated to ‘Simpson’) family from a non-specific state.

They chose Springfield as there are so many Springfields in the US.  In the episodes they also tease the audience never quite revealing which state they are from.

Here are the possibilities:

Springfield city, Florida
Springfield city, Georgia
Springfield city, Illinois
Springfield city, Kentucky
Springfield city, Massachusetts
Springfield city, Michigan
Springfield city, Minnesota
Springfield city, Missouri
Springfield city, Nebraska
Springfield city, Ohio
Springfield city, Oregon
Springfield city, South Dakota
Springfield city, Tennessee

Springfield town, Colorado
Springfield town, Dane County, Wisconsin
Springfield town, Jackson County, Wisconsin
Springfield town, Louisiana
Springfield town, Marquette County, Wisconsin
Springfield town, Otsego County, New York
Springfield town, Penobscot County, Maine
Springfield town, South Carolina
Springfield town, St. Croix County, Wisconsin
Springfield town, Sullivan County, New Hampshire
Springfield town, Windsor County, Vermont

Springfield township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania
Springfield township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania
Springfield township, Burlington County, New Jersey
Springfield township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota
Springfield township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania
Springfield township, Erie County, Pennsylvania
Springfield township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania
Springfield township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania
Springfield township, Kalkaska County, Michigan
Springfield township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania
Springfield township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania
Springfield township, Oakland County, Michigan
Springfield township, Union County, New Jersey
Springfield township, York County, Pennsylvania

Edit:  I found this regarding The Simpsons:

Where is Springfield? The short answer is: on your television. Springfield does not exist. It doesn't have a real state, and the fact that it has no state is nothing more than a running gag. Springfield is more like "Anytown, USA". It's as if all of America was compressed into a single town, or a single state. Springfield is everywhere and nowhere.

Proof? No state's capital city is called "Capital City". No state has ever had their flag. No state's motto is "Not just another state". And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There is an enormous number of geographical contradictions between episodes which make it impossible for Springfield to actually exist in any real American state.

I have to agree with this, so many have been brought in recently and the prices here have been coming down after our economy flopped.

It's not as easy as it used to be, good classics are becoming harder to find in the US.  We're snapping them all up, lol.
