Given America's long love affair with the Corvette, it's always struck me odd that there hasn't been at least one notable good song dedicated to it.

About all that's out there is this old George Jones C&W ballad:

And this crap:

It's C3 chromie for me, see? Si!

Little red Corvette by Prince?  It may not be good to your standard but it was a massive hit.

Corvettes have also been referenced in songs - Jan & Dean's Deadman's Curve's opening line:

I was cruisin' in my Stingray late one night

It also makes mention of the 6 tail lights, a common mod to the Stingray's of the era was to add an additional pair of tail lights.

Maybe, but who sings it now? Stayers are usually covered by many people for a long time afterwards.

Yep, brief mentions,  but I'm talking about songs dedicated to the Vette.

It's still quite a popular song in the way that everybody knows it - one look at that poster above and you know the song they're referring to.

Many songs reference the vette but you can't expect a song a year dedicated to it.

Finding a song with a car in the title is hard enough.
